Our story

Jewellery born from becoming.

SOL KANTARÉ was founded by Connie Kantares, whose personal journey led to the creation of meaningful jewellery — pieces born from becoming. It is her offering to the journey: talismans carried through love, loss, growth, rebirth and return.

Born from a deeply personal search for meaning, SOL KANTARÉ explores transformation, symbolism and the stories that shape us, inspired by ancient cultures, mythology, wandering paths and the metaphors woven throughout history.

At the heart of it is the belief that our golden scars can become art, that beauty is forged through experience, and that the things we wear can hold meaning beyond adornment.

The Art of Sol

Jewellery is never just an object. It is a story carried in metal.

Our pieces are shaped by ancient cultures and mythology, symbolism, lived experience and the beauty found in imperfection — from weathered architecture and objects marked by time, to the sea, sacred symbols and the natural world.

Small batch, not mass produced

Pieces are created in small batches rather than mass produced, which allows SOL KANTARÉ to produce more thoughtfully, hold closer attention to quality and reduce unnecessary excess.

Brass and 18k gold plating

Most pieces begin with brass, a recyclable alloy of copper and zinc. It is finished with 18k gold micron plating applied in multiple layers, then sealed with a protective e-coating for durability and tarnish resistance.

Sterling silver ear posts

Earring posts, pins and hooks are crafted from sterling silver, chosen as a quality precious metal for the components worn directly through the ear.

Natural stones and satin gold

Many designs are set with genuine natural gemstones and carefully selected cubic zirconia. The signature soft satin gold finish is intentionally more muted than highly polished gold — a modern relic, discovered rather than newly made.

Every design is imagined, designed and curated between France and Sydney, Australia, before being mindfully brought to life by accredited and ethical artisan partners. SOL KANTARÉ works with reverence for craft and culture, incorporating recyclable materials and considered packaging, while continually seeking ways to reduce waste and lessen its impact on the natural world.

The symbols

Every engraving, a reminder.

SOL KANTARÉ pieces carry words on their reverse — small inscriptions designed to be read only by the person wearing them.

The butterfly

Petalouda

“trust the unfolding”

A butterfly spends most of its life transforming, unseen. Petalouda honours the beauty of becoming and the quiet courage it takes to keep moving forward.
