To be straight with you: SOL KANTARÉ does not sell a literal mermaid-motif necklace. This world is inspired by the sea — shells, pearls, sky-blue stones and the element of water. Our own product writing calls the Amaya pearl strand “a piece made to express your inner mermaid”, and that is the spirit we are working in.

Thalassa carries the shell as a symbol of passage, pilgrimage and the sacred pull of the sea. Set with sky-blue and white zircons that echo clear Mediterranean water, and completed with a suspended freshwater pearl.

Why the sea
For centuries shells have been associated with travel, protection and safe return. Thalassa draws on that history, and on the soft blues of Mediterranean water, in a single pendant that sits close to the collarbone.
Alongside it sits the Sacred Elements WATER pendant, set with natural amazonite — a stone associated with harmony, courage and clear communication — and the Amaya pearl strand, the piece SOL KANTARÉ describes as made to express your inner mermaid.
Styling
The Amaya pearl strand layers beautifully under a longer pendant — pearl close to the throat, shell or element lower, so the two lengths read as one gesture.
Sky-blue zircon against warm gold is an intentionally soft contrast. Pair with whites, oat linens and washed denim rather than bright colour.
Worn with an open shirt or a fine knit, the shell pendant sits equally well out of season — the blue reads warmer against skin than it does on a hanger.
